It's definitely the NPD's election to lose. Dropping 15 seats and losing official govt party status would signal that people lost confidence in their ability to govern effectively. The hysteria around this election is getting the best of people. Including yourself. Fear will do strange things to people. NDP have had 8 years to improve healthcare and education shortages rather than let them get worse. Righteousness and irrational behaviour does nothing for the argument. At the same time, BC Cons are full of grandiose promises that are likely to waste millions of taxpayer dollars or be empty to begin with.

Not sure how we got here, but we all need to do better, especially all elected officials.

I may be biased, but I don't feel that the hysteria around this election has got the best of me — in fact, I think more people should take the time to try and figure out what they truly think/believe & stand for/against and then they should also try and take the time to figure out how best to communicate that with whoever is interested in taking the time time to read/listen/watch/etc (which is all I feel I've tried to do with the above).

And that's something I've tried doing long before this election and it is something that I plan on doing long after this election (and I hope I'm not the only one). To do otherwise feels like a waste of all this internet and technology that we currently have pretty unfettered access to (imho).

But also… cheers for taking the time to read & leave a considered comment!
